The BEGINNING!
Hi everyone! This blog is a personal project of mine. I aim to create an address for Stata users in Afghanistan and beyond to come and learn useful Stata tips and tricks that I will be posting from time to time, share their views and tips, and engage in discussion about using Stata. This project lies somewhere in conjunction to what I do as an analyst with the Asia Foundation's Surveys and Research Department in Afghanistan, my passion for learning and teaching, and a desire to contribute to development of my home country – Afghanistan.

Why I blog?

LEARN Stata FOR FREE!

A little background on The Asia Foundation's Afghanistan Office's Stata trainings.

The Asia Foundation's Afghanistan office's Surveys and Research department has been conducting classes under the name of "Quantitative Research Methods," "Data Analysis using Stata" and "Survey Analysis using Stata" free of cost for those who are interested to learn Stata in Kabul, Afghanistan. I have been one of the beneficiaries of such training back in early 2014, when I was a student. As you might learned from my profile, I now work with the same department and has been a part of the trainers' team since mid-2014, teaching a number of classes and different students.

We still continue to offer these learning opportunities (it applies for at least till end of 2015) at the Asia Foundation in Kabul, Afghanistan free of charge for those who are interested and meet the requirements such as a relevant background. We have offered classes in English, but mainly we offer the classes in Dari language, since our main beneficiaries are Afghans.

We usually announce at least one week prior to the launch of a new course, sending out announcements via email. And usually, we receive as many as ten times applications as the number of available seats; therefore, we conduct an entry test from the most promising applicants, the result of which along with relevant background decide who will be admitted to the course.

If you are interested in learning Stata in one of our classes, which is in Kabul, please write down your email in the comment section below. You will receive announcements via email!

You can also use the comment section for general inquiries :)
